Correctly calibrate laboratory electronic scales

Electronic scales need to be calibrated, otherwise it will lead to significant measurement errors. Therefore, mastering the correct calibration method is very important. The calibration methods of electronic scales mainly include internal calibration and external calibration.

Internal calibration of electronic balance:

1. The balance should be preheated for approximately 2-3 hours

2. The balance should be in a horizontal shape, if it is not adjusted properly

3. The balance should display a stable zero position when there is no weighing item on the weighing plate

4. Press the "CAL" button to activate the internal calibration function of the balance. Later, the electronic balance will display "C", indicating that internal calibration is in progress

5. When the electronic balance display shows zero position, it indicates that the electronic balance should have been calibrated

If an error occurs during calibration, the electronic balance display will display "Err" for a short time, and it should be reset to zero and recalibrated.

Electronic balance external calibration:

1. The balance should be preheated for more than 30 minutes

2. The balance should be in a horizontal state

3. The balance should display a stable zero position when there is no weighing item on the weighing plate

4. Press the "CAL" button to activate the calibration function of the balance

5. The weight value of the external calibration weight is displayed on the display of the balance

6. Place the standard weight that meets the accuracy requirements on the weighing plate of the balance

7. When the displayed value of the electronic balance remains unchanged, it indicates that the external calibration work has been completed and the standard weight can be removed

8. The balance shows that the zero position is in a standby state

If an error occurs during calibration, the electronic balance display will display "Err" for a short time, and it should be reset to zero and recalibrated.
