SEM type stamping equipment

SEM type stamping equipment

  Product Introduction:

Nowadays, stamping testing is carried out in huge machines, and apart from the final test results, no more information can be provided. The microstructural progression between the initial and final states cannot be observed.

POLARIS is a novel, innovative, and compact mechanical testing device used for stamping and bending experiments. The idea behind this machine is that it can be placed inside a scanning electron microscope (SEM). This will open up a new range of application capabilities that can directly analyze the in-situ microstructure of materials when they undergo deformation.

  Technical parameters:

  Testing: Stamping, vertical bending

  EBSD compatibility: No

  Force capacity: 8.5kN

  Dimensions: 235 x 220 x 60 mm

  Weight: 3.2kg

  Cross head stroke: 15mm

  Maximum speed test: 50? M/s

  Minimum rate test: 0.1? M/s

  Displacement sensor: resolution+/-20nm

  Force sensor:

  Linear<+/-0.2% of F.S

  Lag<+/-0.2% F.S

  Technical features:

  1. Circular and rectangular test samples can use different clamping systems.

  2. Testing work can be carried out under smaller working distance conditions.

  3. Directly observe the deformed sample

  4. Generate complex vertical stresses in stamping and bending applications.

  5. Compatible with different working environments (SEM, X-ray diffraction, synchrotron radiation, etc.).

  6. For displacement, it has excellent accuracy (accuracy of 20 nm) and force measurement (linearity and hysteresis below 0.25% in full size).

  7. Mechanical and electronic safety protects users and micro machinery from any damage, and also protects complete automation during testing.

  8. Software has matured based on today's needs and development. The main tests, such as stretching, compression, and bending, can be completed in the same machine.
