Operation safety

Product details:

Carpet flammability tester, used to detect the impact of small fire sources on carpets. There are two methods to test: hot metal nut method BS 4790; Polymer plate methods ISO 6925 and BS 6307.

The test box is made of flame-retardant and heat-resistant board, and includes a convenient skateboard for operation. The mirror on the top of the test box allows the operator to observe the sample during testing.

Testing method (hot nut method)

The stainless steel nut is heated to 900 ℃ in a muffle furnace. Place the test sample into the test box and use crucible pliers to place the clamp ring on the sample. Place the heated nut in the center of the locking ring and remove it after 30 seconds. Then measurements can be taken to evaluate the spread of fire points on the sample.

Testing Method (Aggregated Plate Method)

Suggest placing the test box in the laboratory fume hood. The moistened sample is placed on a movable base in the testing box, and a metal plate with circular edges is placed on the sample. Place the polymer plate at the center of the sample and ignite it. After the flame is extinguished, measurements can be taken to evaluate the combustion effect.
