1、 Safety instructions

Before starting to use the instrument, please read IKA carefully ® Randomly provided instrument manual, familiar with instrument operation and performance.

2. Please ensure that the input voltage of the instrument is consistent with the voltage indicated on the instrument nameplate, and the power socket must be grounded for protection.

3. Before starting up, pay attention to whether the safe temperature of the heating pot is reasonable. The safe temperature of the heating pot should be at least 25 ℃ lower than the ignition point of the medium being processed.

4. Do not operate this instrument in explosive environments or underwater.

To prevent the accumulation of pressure, glass components should be kept ventilated when operating under normal pressure (such as when not in operation).

2、 Reasonable use of heating and cooling media

If the temperature of the heating pot needs to be higher than 80 ° C, it is recommended to use 50mpas of silicone oil as the heating medium. Within 80 ° C, use deionized water as the heating medium.

2. Inject 2/3 volume of deionized water or silicone oil (about 2L) into the heating pot to ensure that the heating medium is sufficient to submerge 2/3 of the evaporation bottle.

When the set temperature of the cooling circulation system is below 0 ° C, the coolant cannot be directly used with water. It is recommended to purchase bath solution from the same manufacturer or make homemade bath solution, such as water and ethylene glycol in volume.

4. Start the heating pot and cooling circulation system 30 minutes in advance.

5. Maintain a temperature difference of 50 ° C between the cooling temperature and the heating pot temperature to ensure good cooling efficiency.

3、 Prepare for distillation

1. The amount of distillate should not exceed half of the volume of the evaporation bottle.

2. Glass evaporation bottles should not be heated on one side. During the heating stage, the evaporation bottle should be turned on and rotated to avoid boiling.

3. Based on the actual size of the evaporator bottle, preset the descent endpoint.

4. Ensure that the vent valve is closed.

5. Connect and fix the evaporator bottle with a fixture, wait for heating and cooling to reach the set temperature, then start the vacuum pump and start distillation.

4、 Daily maintenance and cleaning

Heating pot: Use deionized water or low viscosity clean silicone oil, replace weekly

Glass components: Clean the glass grinding joint with ethanol every week and apply vacuum silicone grease

Sealing ring: It is recommended to check the wear of the sealing ring every quarter (vacuum value can be used to determine)

Host: Keep the shell and panel dry

Cleaning: Please disconnect the power when cleaning and maintaining the instrument. Please use cleaning agents containing surfactants or isopropanol to clean inert stains
