1. Function and Application
The Cold Impact Tester is designed to evaluate the impact resistance of materials at low temperatures. It is used in conjunction with a cold chamber to simulate extreme environmental conditions.
The tester consists of a stainless steel guide tube, a stainless steel drop weight (tup), and an aluminum support structure. Once the specimen has been soaked to the desired cold temperature, the impactor is released down the guide tube to perform the test.
