What are the items for textile color fastness testing? For textile products, the color fastness test is a very important test item, and the color fastness test includes several types. What are they? QINSUN will share with you.

What are the testing items for the color fastness of textiles? QINSUN tells you that there are 5 specific items for textile color fastness testing:

  1. Color fastness to sublimation (color fastness to dry heat)

"Sublimation fastness" refers to the sublimation phenomenon and its degree of dyed fabrics due to changes in temperature and humidity (increase) during storage. The dye fastness of normal fabrics generally requires 3-4 grades to meet the needs of wearing.

  2, color fastness to washing

The sample is sewn together with the standard lining fabric, washed, washed and dried, and washed under suitable temperature, alkalinity, bleaching and friction conditions, so that the test results can be obtained in a short time. The friction during the process is accomplished by rolling and impacting with a small bath ratio and an appropriate number of stainless gang beads. The gray card is used for grading and the test results are obtained. Grade 1 is severely stained, and grade 5 is not stained by visual inspection. Different test methods have different temperature, alkalinity, bleaching and friction conditions and sample size, and the specific ones should be selected according to test standards and customer requirements. Generally, the colors with poor color fastness to washing are turquoise blue, brilliant blue, black scarlet, navy blue and so on.

  3, light fastness

Light fastness refers to the degree of discoloration of colored fabrics by the action of sunlight. Textiles are usually exposed to light when they are in use. Light energy dyes cause the well-known "fading", which makes colored textiles become lighter and darker, and some of them will also change color. Therefore, it is necessary to check the color fastness. carry out testing. The test method is to compare the fading degree of the sample after simulating sunlight with the standard color sample, and it is divided into 8 grades, 8 grades are good grades, and 1 grade is poor. Fabrics with poor light fastness should not be exposed to the sun for a long time, and should be dried in the shade in a ventilated place.

  4, color fastness to rubbing

Friction fastness refers to the degree of fading of dyed fabrics after friction, which can be divided into dry friction and wet friction. The rubbing fastness is evaluated based on the degree of staining of the white cloth, which is divided into 5 levels. The larger the value, the better the rubbing fastness. During the test, rub the sample with dry and wet white cloths according to the specified conditions, and then compare and evaluate the staining degree on the white cloth with the gray staining sample card. The result of rubbing on dry white cloth is dry rubbing fastness; the result of rubbing on wet white cloth is wet rubbing fastness. Other color fastness can be tested according to the specified conditions, and the test results are compared with the gray faded sample card or the gray stained sample card to evaluate the grade.

   5. Color fastness to perspiration

Sew the sample and the standard lining fabric together, put it in the sweat solution, clamp it on the perspiration fastness tester, put it in an oven at a constant temperature, then dry it, and grade it with a gray card to get the test result. Different test methods have different perspiration liquid ratios, different sample sizes, and different test temperatures and times.
