1. Product Function and Application

The Scratch Tester is designed to evaluate a material’s resistance to surface scratching. It is widely used for testing automotive interior components, coatings, plastics, and decorative materials.

The tester applies a controlled load through interchangeable scratch heads to create linear scratches on the specimen surface, simulating real-world damage from contact or abrasion.

After testing, scratches are visually inspected or measured microscopically to assess coating or surface durability.
