BS EN 16094-2012 Flooring Martindale Abrasion And Pilling Tester is used for testing the abrasion resistance test of laminated wooden flooring, its surface micro-scratches and glossiness as specified in BS EN 16094-2012.

Working principle:

1、Under the known pressure, the circular specimen is subjected to cyclic plane motion on the standard abrasive in the form of two simple harmonic motions synthesized from each other (Lissajous). The specimen should not produce any holes in the specified number of cycles to assess the wear resistance

2. The specimen holder and the abrasive table should be flat and the whole surface should be parallel. The motor driving the grinding machine should be connected with a counter and a switch to show the number of revolutions of the outer shaft and the machine should stop when the counter reaches the preset number.
